My personal goal this year was to finally start driving lessons and obtain my license before turning 30 later this year. However having left it later in life, I felt nervous and anxious and had zero-to-low confidence about driving a car. To add to that, having moved here from the UK I had no relatives to help me learn therefore it was important to me to find an instructor that I felt comfortable wouldn’t be impatient with my inexperience and that I felt had a good reputation knowing they’d teach me how to drive correctly and safely.

After coming to her with zero driving experience, she helped prepare me for my test by teaching me the required driving manoeuvres but also the fundamentals of driving in my first few lessons—from turning on the engine, steering, road position etc. After only 26 hours of lessons I passed my learners test with only 1 minor which is an endorsement of Kerrie as a fantastic driving instructor!

It should be 10 stars instead of 5. Kerrie is an amazing driving instructor, I am Deaf myself. It is difficult to find a driving instructor whom I can communicate with whilst behind the wheel. Kerrie learns Auslan, when teaching me how to drive which is incredible. Any Deaf members who want to do with Kerrie. I highly recommend doing your lessons with her. I passed on my first go, everything was perfect because of her guidance, patience and understanding when working with a Deaf person. Excellent driver instructor!

Kerrie is absolutely amazing. I honestly could not have passed my test, and drive as well as I do, without her. I'm autistic, have ADHD, plus anxiety, so sometimes I have to learn things a little differently. Kerrie was really flexible with this and would adapt things to help me learn easier. She honestly had more confidence in me than I did myself. I could not have asked for a better driving instructor. Genuinely, she talked me through my anxieties, adapted to my learning style, never judged me for my weird habits (like moving my head in time with the blinker noise), and made me feel more comfortable with driving. I can say, with 100% certainty, she is a spectacular teacher and if you have the opportunity to learn with her, I definitely recommend it.

I highly recommend Kerrie McDonald as a Driving Instructor. I was super impressed with her patience and rapport with both myself and my son in taking us through the Keys2Drive program. As a parent its pretty scary sitting in that passenger seat for the first time when your 'baby' is behind the wheel but Kerrie's patience and calm manner was just what was needed. The Keys2Drive program is a must for any teenager embarking on their learning to drive journey!
